Martin Tebo

Martin Tebo is an actor, playwright, and songwriter passionate about creating and developing new work for the stage that breaks the mold of realism. He also has a keen interest in film, television, and voiceover.

 

Originally from Portland, Oregon, Martin received his BFA in Acting from Ball State University. Most recently, he was seen in Hoosier Shakes' summer season as Rodergio in Othello and Amiens in As You Like It. Martin has professional credits from several theatres throughout the Portland area, including Broadway Rose and Lakewood Theatre Company. At school, some of his favorite roles were Actor 1/White Man in We Are Proud to Present… and Greg in Bunkerville: a Post-Apocalyptic Musical

 

During his time at Ball State, Martin developed a passion for playwriting as well. His 10-minute play Drinking Alone was a regional semi-finalist at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, where it received a workshop and a reading. In addition, his other 10-minute play The Two-Timin’ Snitch Ratted Us Out was produced in the Cave Theatre at Ball State University. Other works include two full-length dramas (God of my Guidance and The Old Lie), and a One-Act play (Prom Night Promises).

 

In addition to his theatrical work, Martin has also appeared in a short film for Indiana Public Broadcasting and several student short films at Ball State University. His voice has been heard on Indiana Public Radio, where he hosted short local programs such as The Owsley Moment and The IPR Arts Minute as well as worked as an On-Air Board Operator / Producer.
